Nike Peach Jam 2013 (North Augusta, SC): Beard is a strong and crafty point guard who likes to push the tempo. The lefty has excellent body control to finish through contact, in transition and half court.

Solid decision maker running the point. He plays with his head on a swivel, directing traffic on the move. His Team Penny AAU club is composed of hungry guards with high basketball IQs, and Beard fits right in. He can knock down jumpshots off the dribble, and is terrific at feeding the post. Don’t dwell on the lack of height; Arkansas got a floor general that can make plays from all over the floor. He could be handed the keys to the offense from day one.
