Josh Perkins

HoopHall Classic 2014 (Springfield, MA): Although Perkins had only 4 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists, he had a clear impact in the victory over Prime Prep. He didn’t commit a single turnover in 32 minutes of play. He moved the ball with precision and orchestrated Huntington Prep’s offense. Perkins’ contributions extend beyond the box score; he possesses all the intangibles you’d want in your point guard. Heady floor leader, quick first step, and sets up teammates before they even recognize what hit them. He should play immediately at Gonzaga, and could be a national force as a upperclassmen. At one point this summer (after the Reebok camp in mid-July), a large contingent of high school scouts even claimed he was the best point guard in the class.
