E.A.T. Utah Showcase 2013 (Salt Lake City, UT): A 6-3 combo guard with deep range and good bounce, Haws has cemented himself as a productive shooting guard who can pour in points. He hits the open 3, can pull-up from deep, or rise-and-stop from the mid-range. He’s a capable finisher due to good bounce and body control. He’s a fearless attacker, and with a jump shot defender’s respect, he can dominate a game offensively. Like his older brother Tyler (BYU), TJ competes on both ends and is a dynamic scorer.

However, Haws is a bit undersized at 6-3, and he is also very skinny. He will need to add strength to withstand contact in college.

Additionally, Haws will leave for a two-year LDS Church Mission this May, so he won’t enroll at BYU until the 2016-17 season. This will obviously factor into his long-term potential. Haws will need to come back with a college-ready physique.
